Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 can kidney beans (15 oz)
- 1 can black beans (15 oz)
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onions are translucent (3-4 minutes).
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to create a thick base.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Cover and reduce heat, allowing it to simmer for about 30 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve hot with desired toppings.
