Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 can kidney beans (15 oz)
  • 1 can black beans (15 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth


Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onions are translucent (3-4 minutes).
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to create a thick base.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Cover and reduce heat, allowing it to simmer for about 30 minutes.
