Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (if grilling)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Form the mixture into elongated shapes and thread them onto skewers if grilling.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat and cook the kofta for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  4. For the sauce, mix yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl until smooth.
  5. Serve the kofta hot with the creamy garlic yogurt sauce on the side.

Notes

You can also bake the kofta in an oven preheated to 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes. Adjust the garlic in the yogurt sauce to suit your taste.
