Description
A delicious and creamy Chicken Garlic Parmesan Pasta that combines tender chicken, rich parmesan, and garlic for a comforting weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 lb chicken breast
- 1 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 12 oz gluten-free farfalle pasta
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp dry shallots
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp gluten-free 1:1 flour
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 12 oz shredded parmesan
- 1/4 cup pasta water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Boil the pasta according to package directions until al dente.
- In a small bowl, mix the seasonings: paprika, oregano, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pound the chicken to thin it out and season both sides with the mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 5 minutes on each side.
- Lower heat, cover, and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
- Remove chicken and set aside. Add butter to the pan and let it melt.
- Add shallots, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning, stir and simmer for one minute.
- Add gluten-free flour, stir, and scrape the bottom of the pan.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream whisking until smooth.
- Add parmesan cheese and stir until melted. Cook until sauce thickens.
- Toss in cooked pasta, coating well with the sauce.
- Add pasta water one tablespoon at a time to thin the sauce if needed.
- Slice the chicken breast and mix it into the pasta before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat gently with a splash of cream or water.
