Description

A creamy and cheesy potato dish that is easy to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for greasing
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Pour half of this mixture over the potatoes.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and parmesan cheese over the potatoes.
  5. Repeat with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses, layering as before.
  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes or until the top is golden and crispy.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve.

Notes

For a healthier twist, substitute potatoes with sweet potatoes and use lower-fat cream and cheese options.
