Ingredients
- 12 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Boil penne pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Brown Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Sauté Aromatics: Add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and chopped onion. Sauté until soft and fragrant.
- Season: Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Combine: Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss in cheddar and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese is fully melted and the pasta is coated.
- Optional Bake: Transfer mixture to an oven-safe dish. Top with extra cheese and broil for 2–3 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
You can substitute the ground beef with turkey or plant-based meat. Use mozzarella for a gooier texture or add red pepper flakes for heat.
