Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ cup diced onion
- 1 can (10.5 oz) creamy mushroom soup
- 1 cup cooked rice
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ cup milk (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and diced onion for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Drain excess fat from the beef mixture.
- In a bowl, combine the cooked beef, mushroom soup, cooked rice, garlic powder, and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
This casserole can be customized with additional ingredients like bell peppers or mushrooms. It can also be made ahead of time and refrigerated before baking.
