Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, cook the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until the beef is browned, and onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, undrained diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Cook the elbow macaroni until just al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and return to pot.
- Combine tomato beef mixture with macaroni, and stir in half of the cheddar cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, and sour cream.
- Transfer the mixture to a large baking dish, spreading evenly. Sprinkle the rest of the cheddar, mozzarella, and all of the Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until cheeses are melted and casserole is heated through.
- Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving.
