Description

Crispy and cheesy chicken taquitos that are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 10 small flour tortillas
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine your cooked shredded chicken, cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and cumin. Stir until well blended.
  2. Warm a tortilla on a skillet for a few seconds to make it pliable.
  3. Take a small amount of filling and place it near one edge of the tortilla.
  4. Roll the tortilla tightly around the filling.
  5. In a pan, heat up oil over medium heat.
  6. Fry the taquitos until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider baking instead of frying. Brush with oil and bake at 400°F until crispy.
