- 100 g butter (room temperature)
- 165 g powdered sugar
- 2-3 tsp caramel

Instructions
- Prepare the salted caramel: In a pan, combine 90 g granulated sugar and 1 tbsp water. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Add 25 g butter and stir until melted. Slowly pour in 100 g heavy cream and a pinch of salt, stirring until smooth. Let cool.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). In a bowl, mix 240 g all-purpose flour, 1 1/4 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp ground allspice.

- Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Mix until well blended but do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
- For the caramel buttercream, beat 100 g butter until creamy. Gradually add 165 g powdered sugar, 2-3 tsp caramel, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Beat until fluffy.
- Once the cake is cool, spread the caramel buttercream on top. Drizzle more caramel for a finishing touch.
Notes
Use fresh apples for the best flavor. Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work great. Measure accurately for best results.
