  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the brown sugar and softened butter until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Roll the dough into balls and then roll in granulated sugar.
  7. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them a few inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
