Ingredients

  • 6 boneless chicken thighs (about pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 small shallot, finely minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season chicken thighs with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the seasoned thighs. Cook each side until golden brown. Transfer the chicken to an oven-safe dish.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the shallot and garlic until fragrant.
  5. Stir in chicken broth, lemon juice, thyme, and red pepper flakes. Reduce heat slightly and let simmer until slightly thickened.
  6. Add heavy cream, stirring continuously for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken thighs in the dish.
  8. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until fully cooked and tender.
  9. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a crisper exterior, pat chicken thighs dry before seasoning.
  • Allow the sauce to cool slightly before adding cream to prevent curdling.
  • Use fresh herbs for elevated flavor and aroma.
