Description
A delightful twist on traditional beef stroganoff, featuring bold Cajun flavors and succulent shrimp in a creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or egg noodles)
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef or chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onions and garlic, and sauté until onions are translucent.
- Add mushrooms and cook until softened.
- Stir in the heavy cream and broth, bringing to a simmer.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and heat through.
- Add cooked pasta, stirring to combine, and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of lemon juice when serving. Adjust Cajun seasoning to fit your spice preference.
