Description

A delightful twist on traditional beef stroganoff, featuring bold Cajun flavors and succulent shrimp in a creamy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or egg noodles)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef or chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add onions and garlic, and sauté until onions are translucent.
  5. Add mushrooms and cook until softened.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and broth, bringing to a simmer.
  7. Return the shrimp to the skillet and heat through.
  8. Add cooked pasta, stirring to combine, and season with salt and pepper.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of lemon juice when serving. Adjust Cajun seasoning to fit your spice preference.
