Description

Irresistible golden-brown buttery pretzel bites that are fluffy on the inside and perfect for snacking or entertaining.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • Coarse salt, for sprinkling


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour and melted butter to the yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  5. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and stir in baking soda.
  6. Divide the dough into small pieces and roll them into bites.
  7. Boil each pretzel bite for about 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet.
  8. Sprinkle with coarse salt and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow cooling slightly and serve warm.
