Irresistible golden-brown buttery pretzel bites that are fluffy on the inside and perfect for snacking or entertaining.
Ingredients
- 2 cups warm water
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- Coarse salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour and melted butter to the yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and stir in baking soda.
- Divide the dough into small pieces and roll them into bites.
- Boil each pretzel bite for about 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with coarse salt and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow cooling slightly and serve warm.
Notes
Store pretzel bites in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature, up to 4 days in the refrigerator, or freeze for up to 2 months.
