Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or preferred variety)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onion, and drain excess fat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
- Add half of the browned beef and onion mixture over the potatoes.
- Pour half of the soup mixture over the beef layer.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining sliced potatoes, beef mixture, and soup mixture.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes, until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving.
