Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 chopped onion
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or choice)
- Optional seasonings (garlic powder, paprika, etc.)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until the beef is browned and onion is translucent. Drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked beef and onion with sliced potatoes, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings. Stir until combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
