Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or choice)
  • Optional seasonings (garlic powder, paprika, etc.)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until the beef is browned and onion is translucent. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked beef and onion with sliced potatoes, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings. Stir until combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Top with shredded cheese.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
