Description

A hearty bowl of ground turkey sautéed with vegetables and served over rice, featuring a spicy-sweet sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and break it up with a spatula; cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in chopped bell pepper and broccoli; cook for about 5 minutes until softened.
  4. Mix together soy sauce, sriracha, and honey in a bowl.
  5. Pour sauce over the turkey mixture and stir to coat; cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve the turkey mixture over rice and garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes

For added crunch, top with crushed peanuts or sesame seeds. Can serve in lettuce wraps for a low-carb option.
