Ingredients
- 2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the mashed bananas. Stir until well mixed.
- Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir until well incorporated.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix.
- Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and vegetable oil until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula if necessary.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
