A delightful banana bread recipe featuring moist texture, hints of chocolate, and simple ingredients, perfect for using up overripe bananas.

Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the mashed bananas. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir until well incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix.
  6. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and vegetable oil until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula if necessary.
  8. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
