Description
Delicious bakery-style chocolate chip cookies that are soft, chewy, and packed with chocolate chips.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugars on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add the salt, vanilla, and eggs, and continue to beat until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For chewier cookies, chill the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes before baking.
