Description

Delicious bakery-style chocolate chip cookies that are soft, chewy, and packed with chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugars on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  4. Add the salt, vanilla, and eggs, and continue to beat until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For chewier cookies, chill the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes before baking.
