Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
