Description

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing them apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
