Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Coat each chicken breast thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove from the oven, top each breast with marinara sauce, and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, then serve and enjoy!
