Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and gather all your ingredients.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Coat each chicken breast thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes until cooked through and the internal temperature reads 165°F (75°C).
