Description
Quick and easy Asian Tuna Cakes that are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, served with a zesty spicy mayo.
Ingredients
- 1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup red bell pepper, diced
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tsp lime juice
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the tuna, breadcrumbs, green onions, red bell pepper, beaten egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, and a sprinkling of salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into patties.
- Heat a generous splash of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sriracha, and lime juice to create the spicy mayo.
- Serve the tuna cakes with the spicy mayo on the side.
Notes
Chill the patties before frying to prevent them from falling apart. Don’t overcrowd the pan while frying.
