Description

A warm and wholesome bake that combines cottage cheese, sweet apples, and a hint of cinnamon, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together cottage cheese, eggs, rolled oats, applesauce, diced apple, cinnamon, maple syrup (if using), vanilla extract, and salt until combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  4. If desired, sprinkle chopped walnuts on top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the mixture is set.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup, Greek yogurt, or fresh fruit. Can be made ahead of time and reheated.
