Description
Crispy, cheesy nachos made effortlessly in an air fryer, perfect for game days or cozy nights.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- ½ cup water
- 1 (15 oz) can refried beans
- Thick-cut tortilla chips
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- Pickled jalapeño slices
- Chopped red onion
- Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it into smaller pieces. Drain excess grease, then stir in taco seasoning and water. Let simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat refried beans for 1-2 minutes until warmed. Alternatively, heat in a saucepan over low heat.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Spread a layer of tortilla chips, then add warmed refried beans, browned beef, and cheeses. Top with jalapeños and red onion.
- Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes, monitoring to avoid burning and ensuring cheese melts.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with optional toppings like sour cream, guacamole, or salsa.
Notes
For maximum crispiness, avoid overcrowding the air fryer and use thick-cut tortilla chips.
