Description
Transform classic mac and cheese into bite-sized balls that are crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, perfect for a snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 2 cups macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Prepare the macaroni and cheese according to your desired recipe or box mix; let it cool.
- Form cooled mac and cheese into balls about the size of a golf ball.
- Combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Beat the egg in another bowl for coating the balls.
- Dip each ball in the egg and then roll in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and spray the basket with cooking spray.
- Air fry the balls for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

For best results, ensure macaroni and cheese is thoroughly cooled before forming into balls. Store leftovers in an airtight container or freeze for later.
