Transform classic mac and cheese into bite-sized balls that are crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, perfect for a snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare the macaroni and cheese according to your desired recipe or box mix; let it cool.
  2. Form cooled mac and cheese into balls about the size of a golf ball.
  3. Combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Beat the egg in another bowl for coating the balls.
  5. Dip each ball in the egg and then roll in the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and spray the basket with cooking spray.
  7. Air fry the balls for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, ensure macaroni and cheese is thoroughly cooled before forming into balls. Store leftovers in an airtight container or freeze for later.
