Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs chicken thighs, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 8 tbsp salted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Bamboo skewers, soaked
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by cutting it into 2-inch pieces and placing it in a bowl.
- Create the marinade by combining garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, turmeric, kosher salt, and black pepper in a separate bowl.
- Pour the spice mixture over the chicken and drizzle with avocado oil, mixing thoroughly.
- Marinate the chicken for 20 minutes.
- Prepare garlic butter by melting salted butter in a pot, adding minced garlic and sautéing until fragrant. Stir in honey and chopped parsley.
- Skewer the marinated chicken pieces tightly on pre-soaked bamboo skewers.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper, place the skewers inside, and preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Air fry for 10 minutes, flip the skewers, and continue cooking for an additional 6-8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Brush the chicken skewers with the garlic herb butter and sprinkle with parsley before serving.
