Description

Delicious Air Fryer Calzones filled with cheesy goodness and savory ingredients, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • Store-bought pizza dough or homemade pizza dough
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup cooked meat (e.g., pepperoni, sausage, or chicken)
  • 1 cup chopped spinach or arugula
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 beaten egg (for egg wash)


Instructions

  1. Let the pizza dough come to room temperature.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, cooked meat, spinach, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a large circle, about ¼ inch thick.
  4. Cut the dough into large circles of about 6-8 inches in diameter.
  5. Spoon the filling onto one half of each dough circle, leaving space at the edges.
  6. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch tightly to seal.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Air fry the calzones for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Check for doneness, and if needed, add a couple more minutes to cook through.
  11. Let cool slightly before serving with marinara sauce if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
