Delicious Air Fryer Calzones filled with cheesy goodness and savory ingredients, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
- Store-bought pizza dough or homemade pizza dough
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup cooked meat (e.g., pepperoni, sausage, or chicken)
- 1 cup chopped spinach or arugula
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 beaten egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Let the pizza dough come to room temperature.
- In a large bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, cooked meat, spinach, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a large circle, about ¼ inch thick.
- Cut the dough into large circles of about 6-8 inches in diameter.
- Spoon the filling onto one half of each dough circle, leaving space at the edges.
- Fold the dough over the filling and pinch tightly to seal.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Air fry the calzones for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Check for doneness, and if needed, add a couple more minutes to cook through.
- Let cool slightly before serving with marinara sauce if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
