Delightful and healthier version of apple fritters, cooked in an air fryer for a crispy exterior and warm, cinnamon-spiced apple filling.
Ingredients
- 2 cups grated apples
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix grated apples, flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together egg, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray the basket.
- Use a scoop to drop the batter into the basket, making sure not to overcrowd.
- Air fry for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For variations, try using pineapple or gluten-free flour. Serve with ice cream or a drizzle of glaze for extra flavor.
