Description
Fudgy, naturally sweetened brownies made with ripe bananas, cocoa powder, and eggs — simple, gluten-free, and optionally vegan.
Ingredients
2 large ripe bananas (brown spots for sweetness) ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder 2 large eggs (or flax eggs for vegan version) Optional add-ins: chocolate chips, peanut butter swirl, chopped nuts, coconut flakes
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 baking dish or line it with parchment paper. 2. Mash bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth. 3. Add cocoa powder and stir until well combined. 4. Beat in eggs until the mixture is smooth and uniform. 5. Pour batter into prepared baking dish. 6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the center is set. 7. Cool completely before slicing into squares.
Notes
For a vegan version, replace eggs with flax eggs (1 tbsp ground flax + 3 tbsp water per egg, rested for 5 minutes).
